Lamp

Lamp (also known as ledlamp) is a hobbyist developer. He currently owns the bridge server and runs various clones of MPP.

"Incident" of 2020-2021

After Jacored fixed and rebooted the original MPP server, Lamp found a vulnerability. Jacored didn't have any caching mechanism in use on the server, so every time someone downloaded a file, a transaction was listed on Jacored's AWS bill. Since Jacored didn't check the bill, the issue went unnoticed, even after various people including Hri7566 had directly messaged him on Discord. After many months, Lamp managed to download over 10 TB of the largest file on the site (e3.mp3 from the Untitled soundpack). This caused the charges to supposedly skyrocket into the thousands of US dollars. Instead of Jacored fixing the issue, he opted to shut the site down entirely and only host static files that indirectly mirror MPPClone.
